The exhibitors’ list comprises suppliers from across the globe, covering every aspect of the medical technology supply chain. The trade fair is set to feature exhibitors specialising in processes, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing; surface functionalisation and treatment; design/research and development; IT; materials and components; software; prototyping; and raw materials.
Visitors can secure a ticket here, in addition to finding the programme schedule of panels and presentations covering topics from expert advice for start-ups to insights into cybersecurity.
All presentations and exhibitors’ digital roundtables will be available on-demand after MedtecLIVE with T4M. The digital platform for registered visitors also features a matchmaking tool to search for exhibitors that fit the needs of any medical technology distributor or OEM.
One such exhibitor is Sandvik Materials Technology, which designs and manufactures EXERA®, a range of ultra-fine medical wire and wire-based components. These custom-made medical wires are built to transmit, sense or stimulate within the human body, and are perfectly calibrated to suit the application utilising Sandvik’s expertise in metallurgy, process development and coatings/surface treatments.
EXERA® wire-based components can be customised for anything from vascular therapy to biosensing and neurostimulation. So far, they have been used in devices such as cochlear implants, pacemaker leads, continuous glucose monitors, tremor control for people with Parkinson’s or epilepsy, catheters and guidewires.
“It’s the first time we will exhibit at MedtecLive. We have expanded our footprint in Europe by acquiring Polyfil and Galvarex in Switzerland and Polyflex in Italy, and together we now showcase our offering to the medical device market. We hope the European customers will let us be their design and development partners as we are to many in the USA today,” says Jerry Blanton, Sales and Marketing Manager at Sandvik Material Technology’s medical business unit.
Innovative design is crucial in an era of continual development, and Sandvik has worked with customers to develop wire components that are used for remote monitoring devices that can be integrated with machine learning and artificial intelligence software.
To see more of Sandvik’s innovative products, or to speak with Jerry Blanton and his colleagues about your medical device needs and challenges, you can find them at the MedtechLive trade fair in hall 10, stand 10-609.
