More change is coming to The Stockton Record.
Today, Saturday March 12, is the last day there will be a Saturday print edition of The Record.
Starting Sunday, March 13, print editions will be available Sunday through Friday. Print subscribers will have newspapers delivered to their home six days a week and a digital newspaper will be available every day.
Print newspapers remain a vital and important part of our strategy, but readers and advertisers are increasingly moving toward our digital products.
I understand what this means to those who enjoy the tactile experience of holding a newspaper in their hands. My wife is among those who every day unfurls the newspaper on the kitchen counter or dining room table and reads it from cover to cover.
Step-by-step guide:You can find even more in The Record’s e-Edition: Here’s how
Available to subscribers will be a full digital replica of the newspaper filled with local news, advertising and features such as comics and puzzles. This is a fully designed newspaper with the same look and feel of the printed newspaper. It can be read online, a tablet, or printed out if someone wants to read it in that manner. The digital format also has some additional features, such as the ability to clip and share articles with friends and family and adjust the text size.
In addition, Stockton Record subscribers will have access to the USA TODAY Network’s full suite of e-editions across the country, as well as ad-free access to the USA TODAY Crossword puzzle. The Record is part of the USA TODAY Network, and this change also is taking place at numerous other publications in the network.
As a subscriber you can also share your digital subscription with a friend or family member. They will receive their own login and can access it as long as you remain a subscriber.

I understand that this is a change. However, our commitment to covering San Joaquin County remains the same even as the platforms on which news is consumed continue to evolve.
The Stockton Record newsroom and offices soon will be settled into a new location at the Waterfront Warehouse and we are adding reporters. I’ll have more on those two topics later.
