As we move forwards on our journey towards becoming The Factory, we want to bring together a talented team of people, reaching out into every corner of Manchester and harnessing the talent and energy that is found across the city and beyond.
The Digital Product Manager will lead on the management of existing and future web and digital products for MIF/The Factory, overseeing development, user experience and website content to shape excellent online experiences across digital platforms.
Responsibilities include:
– To take responsibility for a set of digital products including managing the day-to-day upkeep of MIF/The Factory website
– Directly manage third party suppliers and the products they deliver, including our external web developers
– Conduct thorough user research and competitor analysis to drive product development,
– By working with key stakeholders, gain insights about customers that can be used to create new product ideas or make product improvements
– Facilitate and project manage the technical delivery of digital projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including planning, delivery and testing
– Work closely with other technical/IT and ticketing staff to ensure reliable integration and functionality with the organisation’s CRM/ticketing platform
– Ensure web content is appropriately tagged and has correct metadata for SEO, dynamic content delivery models, and effective data-layer set up
– Manage and define the process for website content updates and requests, and work with content team on creation and delivery of appropriate website content schedules aligned to the business strategy
– Define, manage and evolve the website taxonomy, identifying where pages sit in the hierarchy and work with internal stakeholders to develop the site structure
– Plan and monitor functionality for MIF Live, Factory Live, the organisation’s digital live coverage and streaming working alongside the Digital Team
– A strong interest and contemporary knowledge of web development trends, mobile web applications, web communities and accessibility and usability with an ability to learn new ways of delivering services for online users
– Excellent organisational skills and an ability to manage a complex and challenging workload with multiple deadlines for different internal stakeholders
– To ensure our digital products reflects MIF’s diverse audiences and is in line with The Factory’s audience development strategy
Essential requirements include:
Excellent project management skills with clear evidence of creating and delivering digital projects to time and on budget
– Experience of SEO strategy and implementation
– An excellent understanding and demonstrable experience of CMS systems
– Experience of using evaluation metrics and analytics tools such as Google Analytics
– Experience of managing websites with a transactional element, e.g. Spektrix or another ticketing system
– Commitment to championing representation and inclusion at every level of the organisation with a proven ability to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds
